The Backbone of Chemical Movement and Trusted Tank Depot Solutions

Joint Tank Services FZCO (JTS) was established in 1998 in the Jebel Ali Free Zone North, occupying a 5,000-square-meter facility located adjacent to the DP World container terminal. It was the first dedicated tank cleaning and service depot of its kind in the region.

In 2010, the management decided to relocate operations to a larger facility of 28000 sq meters to keep pace with the growing demands of the chemical industry in the Middle East. Construction of the new site in Jebel Ali Free Zone South began in August 2011 and was completed by April 2012. Operations at the new location commenced in mid-May 2012.

Today, JTS is strategically located in Jebel Ali Free Zone (South), providing essential depot services to shipping and tank container logistics providers serving the regional chemical industry.

JTS is fully licensed and equipped to clean ISO tank containers containing residues of hazardous goods classified under Classes 3, 4.1, 6.1, 8, 9, and Non-Dangerous Goods (NDG).

Who We Are and Where We’re Going

Regional Expansion

In 2018, driven by sustained client trust and industry demand, JTS expanded its tank services to a second location in Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. All services available at the Jebel Ali depot are now also offered at the Sohar facility. In addition to standard depot services, we offer laden ISO tank storage and decanting activities at this location.

Expansion into Chemical Logistics

In 2019, JTS diversified into chemical logistics, establishing a 28,718-square-meter facility offering a comprehensive suite of services, including:

Chemical warehousing for both liquid and powdered substances of Class 3, 4.1, 6.1, 8, 9 & NDG.
Drumming and product transfer from bulk storage units (ISO tanks, road tankers) to smaller formats such as IBCs, drums, and pails customised to meet client specifications.
Two dedicated yards for laden ISO tank storage, including Yard 01, which features a unique overhead covered shed—the first of its kind in the region.

This facility, combined with the Tank Services Depot, positions JTS as a full-spectrum provider of liquid chemical logistics solutions in the region.

JTS-Sohar Facility

Our JTS-Sohar facility combines the expertise of both our tank depot and chemical logistics services, all housed within a 10,000-square-metre site in Sohar, Oman. This integrated hub is strategically designed to provide a comprehensive service offering that meets the diverse needs of the chemical industry. From warehousing to storage, handling, and maintenance, the JTS-Sohar facility acts as a critical point in our operational network, providing our clients with a one-stop solution for all their tank and logistics needs.

Highly Specialized Tank Cleaning

We utilize specialized cleaning equipment and environmentally friendly cleaning methods to remove hazardous residues and prepare tanks for reuse. This cleaning is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the tank.

Repair and Maintenance

Our tank repair and maintenance services use tank rotators to effectively inspect, repair, and maintain tanks. The tank rotators ensure that tanks are safely rotated during the maintenance process

Testing, Inspections, and Approvals of Tanks

We conduct rigorous testing and inspections on every tank that passes through our Sohar facility. These tests ensure that tanks meet industry standards and are fit for safe transportation and storage.
